Auntie Sophie, You are someone who has always been around for as long as I can remember, never could I imagine that someone like you would be taken from us all so soon. There are so many memories that I will cherish that were made over the years, it was just so much fun to be in your presence. I’m so sad that there won’t be any more memories to be made. The last conversation I had with you was on one Mother’s Day; I told you that I had always seen you as mother figure and you told me that I “was one your daughters” and that you “loved and missed me”. We said that hopefully we would see each other soon but that was sadly not to be. Just a chance to have said goodbye would have been lovely but I take some comfort in at least you knowing how I saw you and loved you. We promise to look after Anna as best as we can and know you will be looking down on us all. There will never be another quite like you Auntie Sophie. Forever in our heart and thoughts. Pokuaa, I still cannot believe that you’re gone. I’m still numb that on this day, I’m here to bury you. I’ll be brave today for Anna. I’ll hold back my tears and help her through the day. Same way you have helped me through many dark moments. And when the time is right I’ll laugh with her as you always laughed with me. Ours was a friendship that we were blessed to have. This is one of the shocking news I have ever heard ! I still can’t believe it ! My big sister you have left me why ? I truly appreciate you ! An amazing big sister ! The last time you were in nyc we had such a lovely time driving to upstate shopping and you full of laughter ! I am missing you so much ! The only comfort I have is you served God fiercely and you loved people unconditionally so I know for a fact that you are in heaven rejoicing ! Anna I know it’s very hard having lost my mum as well but always remember that you are loved by God and i and the twins love you ! You know you are always welcome in my home open door policy ! Still in shock since Anna told me, I feel empty and lost in thoughts. I cannot put what had happened together. I asked why so soon.... The last time we spoke you promised to get back to me on an issue discussed and u never did. I was puzzled because u were never like that. December 2021came no greeting card the first time u miss sending card to me since 1999 when we met at Thames Valley University. U were mothers to many including myself. The last time I visited u, u dropped me at the train station and waving ur hands I didn't realise it was the last goodbye. You were truly a great friend and will sadly be missed.
